Auer and Engel win at Brands Hatch
The defending champions start the 2025 Sprint Cup season of the GT World Challenge Europe with a win.
Lucas Auer and Maro Engel began the defence of their GT World Challenge Europe title with a win. In the second race of the Sprint Cup opener at Brands Hatch in England, they converted pole position in the #48 Mercedes-AMG GT3 into a lights-to-flag victory. Auer also set the fastest lap of the race.
AF Corse had won the first race on Saturday. On Sunday WINWARD Racing struck back and put itself straight into the title fight at the start of the season.
In 2024 the two DTM team-mates had won both the Sprint Cup and the overall GT World Challenge Europe title.
