Engel wins the opener in Spielberg

Maro Engel takes the first DTM win of the 2026 season for Mercedes-AMG Team WINWARD in the second race at the Red Bull Ring.

In 2026 the DTM started its season in Austria for the first time, and WINWARD Racing struck straight away. Maro Engel won the second race at the Red Bull Ring in the #80 Mercedes-AMG GT3 in Ravenol colours.

Team-mate Jules Gounon races the #48 in MANN-FILTER livery this season. Both cars carry new designs in 2026; the #80 celebrates Ravenol’s 80th anniversary.

With the win, Engel heads to the remaining seven race weekends of the season as one of the title contenders.
