WINWARD Racing with a powerful package

Strong partners for Mercedes-AMG Team WINWARD: Auer’s and Engel’s DTM cars race in MANN-FILTER and RAVENOL colours in 2024.

Mercedes-AMG Team WINWARD goes into the 2024 motorsport season with a strong overall package and strong partners. MANN-FILTER joins as a new, but far from unknown, partner. The striking yellow-green design of the filtration specialists from Ludwigsburg adorns Austrian Lucas Auer’s Mercedes-AMG GT3 in the coming DTM season. In addition, the car raced in the Pro category of the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS by Lucas Auer and Maro Engel, with Daniel Morad as third driver in the endurance races only, will also run in the “Mamba” design. In both cases the entrant is Mercedes-AMG Team MANN-FILTER.

“I’m very happy about and looking forward to working with MANN-FILTER,” says WINWARD Racing team principal Christian Hohenadel. “The venomous Mamba design established itself on the motorsport scene in no time and has become a real crowd favourite. MANN-FILTER is not just any sponsor that sticks its logos on a race car. The people in charge in Ludwigsburg are real racers who live and love motorsport and use it as the ideal platform for their brand. And that makes them a perfect fit for WINWARD Racing.”

The same goes for RAVENOL. The brand of Ravensberger Schmierstoffvertrieb GmbH has long built an excellent name as a premium supplier of all kinds of lubricants, and not only in motorsport circles. Since last year, RAVENOL has been an official supplier of Mercedes-AMG Motorsport. That makes the design of Maro Engel’s DTM car all the more fitting. It combines the RAVENOL logos with Mercedes-AMG’s tribute to 130 years of motorsport under the three-pointed star.

“We are both delighted and honoured that Mercedes-AMG chose one of our cars as the symbol of this impressive anniversary. It underlines the long and close partnership between Affalterbach and Altendiez,” says Christian Hohenadel. “I’m very happy that RAVENOL continues to support us as a technical supplier and partner. Anyone involved in motorsport knows that success is not possible without strong partners. You need a team in which everyone pulls in the same direction and burns for success. That applies not only to WINWARD Racing and Mercedes-AMG, but also to MANN-FILTER and RAVENOL. So our package could hardly be more powerful this season. Quite apart from the fact that our race cars are also visual knockouts this year.”
